1. Corporate Law

Under Corporate law, the firm deals with the following:

  • Preparation of sale agreements
  • Preparation of all manner of commercial agreements including leasing and clearing contracts
  • Incorporation and registration of local and foreign companies and business names
  • Attending to changes in Memorandum and articles of association
  • Receivership, administration and restructuring
  • Estate planning
  • Preparation of debentures, chattels mortgages, lenders agreements for syndicated loans on behalf of banks and perusing security documents for companies borrowing money

2. Intellectual Property

Under Intellectual Property the firm deals with the following:

  • Registrations, assignments and renewal of trademarks and Registered User Agreements for local and overseas clients
  • Registration of patents under the Industrial property act, the Patent Corporation Treaty (PCT) and the African regional Industry Property Organization (ARIPO) protocol
  • Registration of industrial designs, payment of annual maintenance fees
  • Protection of Intellectual property rights

3. Projects, Infrastructure and Finance

This is an emerging area in Kenya and the aim is to combine legal and sector with an understanding of clients’ business needs. We then provide strategic advice that maximizes project value and mitigates risks.
